Message from the President

In October 2005, the former Wacoal Corporation became Wacoal Holdings Corporation. A new 100% owned subsidiary, Wacoal Corporation, was established, and control of all the business that Wacoal Corporation had managed up to that point was transferred to it. The new holding company system allows not only for optimum distribution of resources and strategic decision-making based on an overview of all the group businesses, but also clarifies the individual divisions responsibilities and parameters. This helps us to grow the business in an efficient and dynamic way.

Ever since the founding of Wacoal, we have been examining the values women hold and the way they feel about beauty in our efforts to pin down a timeless concept of beauty. In the course of business we go out of our way to learn from the opinions of all our individual customers. Your feedback helps us change and develop, and our business is based on building up mutual trust with you, our customers. Wacoal's path over the years can be summed up as the bold creation of new value through a quest of beauty rooted in this philosophy of mutual trust.

In its role as a "company empathetic to women," Wacoal will continue with its efforts to help women live more beautiful lives, thereby earning their support and affection. Under the banner of body design, we want to enable women everywhere to express their unique beauty of both body and mind - and to offer genuine value through services and products that provide beauty, comfort and health.

At Wacoal we are untiring in our attempts to define the eternal ideal of beauty. This is the quest that lies at the root of all we do and inspires us to keep pushing forward, creating products and proposing new lifestyles.

Representative director and CEO Yoshikata Tsukamoto
