Medium-Term Environmental Action Plan (April 2010- March 2013)

• 1.Improve the coordination of environmental management systems throughout the Wacoal Group.
• --We will strive to improve environmental management as well as management of environmental activities and performance for the Group as a whole.
• 2.Promote environmental protection activities based on the idea that “business improvement equals environmental improvement.”
• --We will reduce the environmental burden at all stages of our business activities through business operation improvement.
• 3.Reduce CO₂ emissions.
• --We will reduce CO₂ emissions by 6% compared to 2009 levels.
• 4.Promote green purchasing.
• --We will promote green purchasing for raw materials and products by encouraging our main suppliers to obtain ISO 14001 and other environmental management certifications. We will also prioritize environment-friendly products when purchasing office supplies.
• 5.Reinforce waste management.
• --We will maintain a recycling rate of 90%.
• 6.Reinforce environmental risk management.
• --We will manage and dispose of PCB waste properly.
• 7.Disclose environmental information.
• --We will disclose information through the Wacoal HD website and other means.
